An Intimate Micro Wedding: Megan and Bailey's Nashville Adventure

Megan and Bailey had the most intimate and fun wedding in downtown Nashville that perfectly tied tradition and non-tradition together to create a truly unique and impressive wedding experience. When we first spoke and I heard about her plan, I was immediately excited to get to work helping make this plan a reality, and by the time all of the details were finalized a month before the wedding, I could not wait for the day to arrive because I just knew it was going to be an awesome freaking day and honestly, I was wrong. It wasn’t awesome, it was absolutely incredible!!!!

While their wedding wasn’t your typical wedding with the big guest lists and huge venue and perfectly curated wedding party, they still chose to incorporate traditional events in their own way and included a first look, private vow exchange, and hosted a ceremony and dinner reception with their closest family and friends followed by an after party at a local bar. As a passionate micro wedding and elopement photographer in Tennessee, I was honored to be a part of their journey and capture the magic of their special day. It was the coolest wedding I have ever attended to date!

An Intimate First Look and Private Vow Exchange

When I first arrived, everyone was at the hotel in the middle of getting ready. Megan and Bailey’s details were beautifully chosen from the adorable vow books Megan had to all of the sentimental jewelry both had chosen to wear on their wedding day. I adored her custom ring box from Tiffany’s!

Megan and Bailey originally wanted a first-something, but couldn’t decide between look or touch. In the end, they chose to do a first look, and I must say that it was one of the most emotional moments I've ever witnessed and a seriously perfect choice. Bailey's face lit up when he saw Megan in her beautiful dress, and the love that they shared was evident in every moment. It was clear that they were meant to be together, and I felt privileged to witness such a beautiful moment.

After the first look, the couple had a private vow exchange. It was a heartfelt and intimate moment, and there wasn't a dry eye in the room. Megan and Bailey's love for each other was palpable, and I felt honored to be a witness. After that we headed out of the hotel and down the block towards the venue for the ceremony.

A Cozy Reception of Love

The reception was held in a separate room that was even cozier with low lighting and seating designed to bring everyone closer together.  The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, and the drinks flowed freely. It was a beautiful night, filled with laughter and love. Photos of Megan and Bailey were placed around the room, along with a photo of their sweet fur babies, AND probably my favorite detail out of the entire day: they had custom made cake toppers of their dogs to further include them on their special day.

Joyful Moments and Adventures Ahead

As the night unfolded, joy radiated from Megan and Bailey. We seized the opportunity for fun elevator portraits between outfit changes, capturing their playful and genuine connection. The evening continued with an after-party at Pushing Daisies, a lively conclusion to their micro wedding adventure.

Megan and Bailey's micro wedding in Nashville was a beautiful chapter in their love story, a tale of blending tradition with their unique spirits. As a micro wedding and elopement photographer in Tennessee, I'm excited for the upcoming adventures that 2023 will bring. Their celebration serves as a reminder that intimate micro weddings can be every bit as enchanting as larger affairs, and each couple's journey is a canvas waiting to be painted with their love.
